Big Brown jogs at Belmont

Only in horse racing could a workout be news, but Triple Crown hopeful Big Brown returned to the track Wednesday morning for the first time since his victory in last Saturday’s Preakness Stakes, jogging once around Belmont Park’s sloppy 1 1/2-mile oval.
Michelle Nevin, Big Brown’s regular exercise rider, said all went well with the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner, who will attempt to become the sport’s 12th Triple Crown winner in the June 7 Belmont Stakes.
“He was having a look around, playing around,” Nevin said. “He’s exactly the same way as he was in Florida, Churchill, Pimlico - relaxed, doesn’t care about anything. He loves to look around.”
